The Red-Cheek Mud Turtle, Kinosternon scorpioides cruentatum, in Captivity

Abstract

Raising, keeping and breeding of The Red-Cheek Mud Turtle, Kinosternon scorpioides cruentatum, in captivity are described. I made my first experiences with this species by caring for a group of wild caught animals. Later I received three captive bred neonates and raised them until adults, now breeding themselves. I share my concept of keeping conditions, including their nutrition depending on their age, and incubation of the eggs.
