Abstract

Most Chelonian hobbyists love to take pictures of the animals they care for. Here I provide general information in how to do this successfully. I explain the importance of choosing f-stops and exposure time, of using different possibilities for measuring the latter (spot or selective) and I give useful auxiliary equipment, mainly regarding macro lenses or alternative equipment for that purpose. At the end I provide examples of how to take pictures that are more interesting for the viewer by using different perspectives and urge everybody experience the possibilities themself.
